i'm still pissed actually. wooster and the new owners of the building throw an exhibition where they invite STREET ARTISTS from all over the world, who in most cases had nothing to do/never tagged in 11 spring street to wheatpaste shit over the 20-year-old tags by GRAFFITI WRITERS. they say this is to celebrate the "importance of 11 spring in the new york art community" but if that's the case, why go the old (ILLEGAL) tags that made the building famous in the FIRST FUCKING PLACE with new (LEGAL) "street art"?! why invite douchebags from france to put up wack wheatpastes on the inside and not extend invitations people like irak crew, who had the most amount of tags on the inside before this stuff went down?

i'm not a graf writer, i'm not even a street artist. just an artist. but even i understand that there is something very, very fucked up about this situation.

in the end all the street artists get a three-day letters-free street art circle jerk while the new building owners get free PR for their new condos while simutaneously letting everybody know NOT TO SPRAY HERE ANYMORE, THAT ERA IS OVER, WE ALREADY HAD THE EXHIBITION.
